"I am genuinely grateful to have the opportunity to work for Move It Storage. The impact this company has had on me has been tremendous and positive. Not just for me but my family.

I get to spend more time with them than other jobs I have had in the past."
"I would also like to let you know that there have been several moments that I have made a significant impact on tenants as a Property Manager. With Covid 19 affecting everyone for the past year or so, it's a great feeling when you can make someone's day by offering them a Move-In special. I have had several new tenants come and rent a unit because they have just lost a loved one due to Covid. On top of dealing with the grieve and loss, they also have to deal with unexpected funeral expenses or moving expenses to help other family members. I kind of take that a little personal because when my father passed away suddenly 11 years ago, we were stuck with unexpected funeral expenses, and hearing tenants stories about why they had to get storage, takes me to that day where I felt so lost and overwhelmed with all that was going on. I guess what I'm trying to say here is that my greatest reward working for this company is making a new tenant's day just by offering them a Move-In Special to at least let them know that we are here to help in some way. The reaction I get from them and the sincere gratitude they express makes my day."

"I saw the bullet point of story ideas and what immediately stuck out for me was, "What makes MVIT different?" I love working for this company because of the follow-through on the mission statement. I genuinely believe and have seen honoring employees, customers, investors, and vendors with honesty, diligence, and excellence.

I am proud to strive hard to represent these values every day. It is easy to align my goals with the company when you can see the company upholding its importance in their day-to-day business. It is refreshing to work with and for someone who has integrity."

"I remember my interview pretty well that I had with Tiffany at the property. My husband had sent me the job listing on Indeed, and I remember doing the video interview first. One of the questions asked in the video is what your favorite type of breakfast food is, which I thought was such a random question at the time. I asked Tiffany about it during the in-person interview. She said those answers have meaning behind them (not a right or wrong answer) but that they could tell a lot about someone based on whether their favorite breakfast is toast or something like an omelet. Well, my favorite breakfast food is an omelet! And for some reason, that gave me the impression that I would be hired (obviously a coincidence). It was such a small, seemingly meaningless thing that stuck out to me."

"I had a good impression of how my time would go when a tenant we referred to as "The Candy Man" stopped in to see me about two weeks in. He worked for the candy company Wrigley and kept his inventory in some units, and he had made me a little care package to welcome me as the PM there-which included my favorite flavor of 5 gum! A small gesture that made me feel welcome as I was still learning how to navigate doing this job."

"Since starting with Move It in July of 2020, I have had so many things personally happen to me and have always felt valued and supported throughout my struggles. I was hired during COVID but still had so much support in getting started. And while I had management and upper management experience in other jobs, I did not have any storage experience. My area coordinator and DSM always seemed to be available and had answers to any questions, and if they didn't, they would always point me in the right direction for solutions. I started with Move It as a PM at the Temple, TX location and had the best AM I could have asked for. Gary helped me with anything and everything; it was a pleasure to work with him and have him share some of the knowledge he has about fixing things the property-including working on the gate, changing unit latches, and replacing Simplex locks-all stuff I was nervous about working on because I didn't have any experience in these areas yet. And congrats to Gary as he is now a PM at the Killeen, TX location, and I know he will excel in that position there!"

"I have had issues with childcare, family being sick and have suffered a miscarriage during my time with the company. The relationships I have been able to form have been so impactful in my day-to-day and long term and have helped me to be able to get past some of those challenges a little bit easier. However, I worked as a PM, had a part-time job, and went to school online when I decided to put my notice in. I would work nights instead and save money on childcare during the day if I quit as a PM. I immediately had buyer's remorse and started contemplating leaving a company that had repeatedly proved to be a good fit for my family and me. Thankfully an opportunity arose to transfer to a property I could live at onsite (so still meeting my goal of saving money) and am now the PM at Another Closet Self Storage location in Spring Branch, TX! And what do I see on my first official day…? A welcoming gift from yet ANOTHER amazing AM whom I have had the pleasure of working with the last two months. Jen is a fantastic asset to the Move It/ACSS family. I'm not sure how or why I have hit the AM jackpot, but I am not complaining 😊 So far, we love the property and the area (minus the scorpions) and look forward to being in the Hill Country."

"What makes MVIT different is that it's real. It's not a line fed to you over and over to get you to make a better job or empty promises being made. It's that you have a career opportunity and a company that is willing and able to honor you while you're on your journey.

But the honor is ours.

Thanks for being so excellent Move It!"

"Good morning. I'm emailing you today to thank you for the opportunity you have given my family and me to be a part of. And what I mean by that is allowing us to be a part of the BEST company I have EVER worked for in my life.

This company and employees have done nothing but accept and show me what it's like to be part of a company that treats you more like family than every day employee. I recently had a death in the family, and Kelly did EVERYTHING possible to make sure that my wife and I not only were able to make it to an out-of-state funeral but to ensure that I had the hours I needed for financial purposes."
"It seems that no matter what the need or concern is, Kelly makes sure we all have what we need and when we need it. I and others could not ask for a better boss than Kelly. My coworker Dan is the same way, he always has my back, and I do the same for him. I've commented that when I was self-employed, that was better than now, but it's not. We all have good and bad days, these last several days have been very hard due to circumstances, but this team makes it easier to deal with it. Again, thank you from the bottom of my and my wife's hearts for everything this TEAM has done for us. I hope to be a part of Move It for many more years to come."

"One of my favorite things about working for Move it for the last six years is the connections that I've made with people. My coworkers, DSMs, or even with the tenants. Many companies say they are a family, but I have never felt it as much as working here."
"One example of this was recent. I was having an issue that had invoked a strong emotional reaction. I decided to email my regional manager Jessie Munoz and let him now my feelings about this issue. I sent the email hoping it wasn't unprofessional. A few days later, my cell phone rang, and it was Jessie. He wanted to talk to me about my concerns. By the end of the call, I felt heard and cared about as an employee and person. I solidified that I am in the right place and working with the right people."
